Are We Still Positioned to Execute What Matters Most?

Most organizations already have plans in place for the year.
But the environment around those plans doesn't stand still.
Priorities shift. New opportunities emerge. Risks evolve. Projects encounter challenges.
Capacity and budget realities become clearer.
As we move into the final months of the year, I think this is a particularly useful time for
leadership teams to ask:
Are our most important priorities still clear and achievable?
Are our resources and budgets aligned with what matters most?
Have new opportunities emerged that deserve attention?
Have our risks changed?
Are leadership attention and decision-making focused in the right places?
And perhaps most importantly: Are we still positioned to execute what matters most?
This is the thinking behind the Fall Execution Check-In I've recently introduced through Catalyst Performance Solutions.
It isn't another strategic planning exercise. It's a short leadership reset designed to look at what's working, what's changed, what opportunities are emerging, what could affect
execution, and where focused leadership attention can have the greatest impact
through the balance of the year.
I'm increasingly convinced that the ability to continually connect strategy, risk, decisions,
resources and execution is becoming one of the most important leadership disciplines.
I'll be writing more about that connection over the next few weeks.
Because the challenge isn't usually creating the strategy. It's keeping strategy and
execution connected when the world around the plan changes.
